Social media at it again as a
purported phone call between Governors Nyesom Wike and Ayodele Fayose goes
viral concerning the just concluded Rivers re-run election.
The audio was leaked by
SaharaReporters which is famously known by many Nigerians as a strong media
wing of the ruling All Progressive Party (APC). Recall how the above named media
house was paid with huge sums of money to carry out some wrong information to
blackmail the then President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to the content of the
purported audio, the duo are heard discussing with all happiness the manner in
which the Rivers State governor stormed one of the collation centres. In the
said audio, it was also alleged that Governor Wike claimed “the Nigerian Army
does not exist anymore.” He is also heard allegedlyordering some elements to
“kill anyone.”
Remember some weeks ago when the
same news medium leaked a conversation of Wike threatening INEC officials,
about a plot to rig the legislative rerun in the state.
However, Governor Wike has since
denied being involved, claiming that technology was used to manipulate his
voice.
