23-year-old Alexander Mitchell
who specialises in enticing under aged girls online finally sentenced to 6
years in prison, after he raped a 12-year-old girl while on bail for another
s3xual offence against two 13-year old girls.
While Jailing Mitchell at the
High Court in Glasgow on Friday, Judge Lord Boyd told him: "You asked a
12-year-old girl to climb in your bedroom window and took advantage of her and
raped her.
"At the time you were on
bail for having s3x with two 13-year-olds. You have an obvious interest in
under-age girls."
The 23-year-old man was given a
12 month jail term in 2014, after being convicted for having an intercourse
with two under aged girls. After which he returned to court after being freed
concerning the rape of the 12-year-old, but finally jailed again on Friday for
5 years.
Mitchell’s latest prey was
reached via social media, where he arranged a meeting with her, encouraged her
to get into his house through one of the windows, even though he was still in
bail for similar offence with a warning never to have any contact with girls
under the age of 16.
People living around the
neighbourhood alerted the police after seeing the girl climbing through his window.
According to advocate depute Ian
Wallace Mitchell had appeared pale, sweaty and fidgety on sighting them but had
claimed there was no one else in the house.
The girl was later spotted in a
bedroom but she claimed she and Mitchell had just been talking and smoking
cigarettes.
Record shows that in March last
year, she exposed how Mitchell had raped her during her visit in June 2014. She
said she had not told police at the time because she was "scared of
getting into trouble", the court heard.
Mitchell was also placed on the
sex offenders' register, after his sentence was announced.
