Theresa May successfully bundled into car after terror attack

Westminster attack

British Prime Minister was successfully hurried away from Parliament into a car yesterday during an alleged terror attack which occurred at Westminster where 5 person were confirmed dead with many others sustaining various degrees of injuries.

One of the attackers also stabbed a police officer to death outside Parliament. Though as a result of the terror attack, everywhere in Downing Street was put in a lockdown, the PM was fully safe and secured.

The attack came while the PM was chairing a gathering of the emergency COBRA committee and has spoken to US President Donald Trump.

Former Conservative Party chairman Grant Shapps how he heard four shots after a "commotion" and was then told to "hit ground and get back, get back".

All those working in the Parliament were advised to stay in the building while armed security officers were combing the building. But were later allowed to leave at about 8pm. School children who came to visit the Parliament were also safely led home.

It was reported by the Police that an occupant of a vehicle that crashed into railings at Parliament and entered the compound where he stabbed an officer before being shot.

Parliamentary officials said the building was being evacuated floor by floor. MP John Pugh said his colleagues are being taken out of the building in groups of 20.

Mrs May was seen being ushered into a silver Jaguar car at Parliament after gunfire rang out at around 2.45pm.

Hillary Benn, who said he was still locked inside the Commons Division Room at 4.15pm, put out a video tweet saying the hearts of MPs go out to those affected.

Among those caught up in the incident was Conservative MP Tobias Ellwood who helped give medical assistance to the injured officer.


Pictures showed him with blood on his face and other pictures showed the suspect on a stretcher with a knife nearby.
