A mother named Kathleen Marie Steele was arrested after her
6-year-old boy beat her new born who is also his baby sister after their mother
left them alone in a car. The lady was later charged with aggravated
manslaughter as a result of the 13-day-old daughter, who is also called
Kathleen.
According to the police report, the woman left the children
for about 30 minutes while running several errands, the baby’s cry then flew
the boy into anger.
Florida investigators also testified that he flipped her so
many times, plunged her on the floor, banged her heard against the ceiling and also
hit her in the face.
In narrating the brutal attack, Pinellas County Sheriff Bob
Gualtieri stated that: ‘The skull was cracked in numerous places, described as
probably mush.’
He described it as ‘one of the worst things that I’ve ever
seen’.
Steele, 62, who recently appeared on a TV show ’55 and
Pregnant’, called for a neighbour, who is a nurse, and the baby was taken to
hospital, where she died.
The six-year-old boy confessed the attack, but will not face
charges because he is a minor.
Reports in the US describe him as having serious behavioural
issues, and he was taken into care.
Steele gave birth after being artificially inseminated with
sperm from her husband, who died from cancer five years ago.
