One time Special Adviser to the President on National
Assembly, Alhaji Tanko Yakasai has predicted that it is only rigging that may
bring the All Progressive Congress into power in 2019, this may be due to the failure
of the President Buhari’s government which is a product of the party and the
many lies and deceit the party meted to Nigerians without being able to fulfil
even one to date, rather the current regime keep commissioning and taking
credit for the legacies of the last administration.
The prediction was made during a courtesy visit High Chief
Raymond Dokpesi and his entourage made to the elder statesman at his residence
in Kano to solicit his blessing for Dokpesi’s Chairmanship ambition of the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), billed to hold in Port Harcourt this month.
According to Yakasai, “Because the state of poverty and cost
of living is on the increase, in my opinion, Nigerians will vote out APC in
2019.
“Nigerians are complaining. I don’t see how APC will win if
they don’t manipulate the process. Nigerians will return PDP to power in 2019.”
