The first wife of Alhaji Asari Dokubo, Alhaja Zainab Asari Dokubo is dead
According to report, Zainab died in a road traffic accident
along with one of her friend.
The death of Asari’s wife and her friend was confirmed by
the Chairman of the Oyo State Muslim Community, Alhaji Ishaq Kunle Sanni. The statement
further said that Zainab was already a Muslim before she and Asari got married.
Before her relocation to Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital,
when she was appointed the Secretary of the Muslims Pilgrims Board, she was
living in Ibadan
“Even then, there was
hardly any month she was not in Ibadan for one Islamic programme or the other.
“She was a member of many Islamic organisations in Ibadan
including Oluyole Muslim community under the Imamship of Imam Mudashir Bada.
“It is interesting she was coming to her preferred town
Ibadan when she met her destiny.
“She was survived by four children Amirah, Hassan, Hussain
and Osama.
“May Allah accept her multifarious and multidimensional
jihad as acts Ibadah and admit her to jannat Firdaous,” Alhaji Sanni said.
