Oyegun and Atiku

In a bid to probably win support of the national leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2019, Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the leadership of the party entered into an hour long closed door meeting to work out possible strategies for the 2019 election.

This visit by Atiku, was said to be the very first ever since Buhari resumed office as President of Nigeria.

Atiku was sighted along with the Governor of Adamawa State, Umar Jubrilla Bindow as they entered the party’s national secretariat at about 12:50pm and made went immediately to the office of the national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.

The trio had a secret consultation for at least 20 minutes before other members of the National Working Committee NWC of the party were admitted in. ‎

Although, party officials dissuaded Atiku from entertaining media enquiries, it was learnt that. The former vice president came to discuss some “salient national issues”, especially after his recent call for a restructuring of the country.
