A demand has been made by a one-time speaker of the United
States, Newt Gingrich asking the government to conduct a test on every Muslim
in the States whether they believe in Sharia law. Suggesting that anyone among
them who believe in such law should be deported with immediate effect.
The call was made as reaction to Fridays attack in French
city of Nice, which according to report sent 84 people to early grave.
The ex-speakers statements are some kind of similarity with
that of Donald Trump, who is likely to be the presidential nominee of the
Republican Party as he also said, Muslims should not be allowed into the U.S.
again.
According to him, “Western civilisation is in a war. We
should frankly test every person here who is of a Muslim background and if they
believe in Sharia they should be deported,” the BBC quoted Gingrich as saying
to Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
He further said, “Sharia is incompatible with western
civilisation. Modern Muslims who have given up Sharia, glad to have them as
citizens. Perfectly happy to have them next door.”
