Trouble brews as another group which claims to be Bring Back
Our Girls (BBOG) surfaces in Nigeria.
The said group is headed by one Comrade Idris King and are
known as ‘With Buhair We Stand’ (WBWS). It was also reported that the group had
a march to the Headquarters of the Nigerian Army, Abuja.
According to King: “What they – BBOG came out initially to
do was good but by the manner in which they are going about it now, they are
distracting the government and the Army.
“What they are doing is simple and is what I call
Socio-advocacy terrorism”.
King also denied reports that him and his group were being
supported by the government, he also went further to clarify that he and others who share similar
ideologies chose to visit and praise the military, especially the Army, for
triumphs accomplished in the battle against the Boko Haram group.
“We want to salute the doggedness of the Nigerian Armed
Forces, especially the Nigerian Army,” he said.
The said leader additionally expressed their sympathy for
all the officers and men who have sacrificed their lives over the span of the
war.
The group was later attended to and addressed Maj.- Gen.
Chris Jemitola, on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.- Gen. Tukur Buratai,
and expressed gratitude toward the them for relating with the armed force.
“It is quite painful that when you are doing so much and
some people are out to point out fault,” Jemitola said.
The Chief of Policy and Plans, Nigerian Army, additionally
encouraged the gathering to keep on enlightening Nigerians about endeavours of
the military.
The group carried placards with words like; “BBOG give some
credit to Government and Nigerian Army for the achievement recorded in the
fight against Boko Haram”; “Oby Ezekwelisi, stop politicising the rescue of
Chibok Girls”; “No more business; BBOG bizness is over”.
