It think the time has come when pastors should be able to
differentiate between ‘God said’ from what they feel or think based on
happenings around the globe and their own political permutations, concerning
politics and political candidates whenever an election season is approaching. Rather
than saying ‘God told me’ when in the reals sense, God has not actually said
anything to them about an election or a candidate. It would be far better if
they say, ‘in my opinion’ I feel this is what will happen or this is the
candidate that may, because of so and so reasons or facts on ground.
The latest of such prophecy is the one made by popular
Nigerian pastor, Prophet T.B. Joshua, which attracted a lot of negative
comments immediately after the election was won by Donald Trump against his
earlier prophecy that Hilary was going to win.
Thus, almost all the social media in Nigeria went agog over
the false prophecy made by General Overseer and founder of the Synagogue Church
of All Nations, Prophet T.B Joshua, as he deletes the purported prophecy from
his Facebook page.
According to him, while speaking on Sunday predicted that
“By the way, in order not to keep you in suspense, what I frankly saw is a
woman.”
Nigerians had dragged him in the mud after his prophecy went
‘sour’ as Trump won the US presidential election early this morning in an
incredible victory that shocked pundits and observers all around the world.
