The Supreme Court which is the highest court in the country
has once again delivered unbiased judgement in favour of Eyitayo Jegede barely 24 hours after the Court
of Appeal reinstated his name as the authentic candidate of the governorship
candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Saturday governorship election
in Ondo State.
The judgment was unanimously passed by a five-man panel made
up of seasoned Justices of the Supreme Court and led by the acting
Chief Justice of Nigeria. Justice Walter
Onnoghen struck out all appeals challenging the decision of the Appeal Court
which ordered the reinstatement of Jegede as the PDP candidate in the Ondo
election.
