WAS THE QUEEN'S QUESTION MISUNDERSTOOD ABOUT THE EU REFERENDUM?

EU referendum: Queen asks guests to give her three explanations why the UK should remain in the EU

The Queen of England has been appealing for opinion concerning the EU referendum debate by asking for three explanations why the UK should remain in the EU.

The Queen’s biographer, Robert Lacey, conveyed Her Majesty’s comments and is of the opinion that they may signify that Her Majesty is in support of Brexit from the EU.

Though, Buckingham Palace has neither confirmed nor denied that The Queen had been discussing the advantages of the UK leaving the EU in private, however royal sources pointed out that the Queen’s were “a question not a statement”.

Nevertheless, due to the leading nature of the purported question adds weight to earlier assertions that Her Majesty would prefer the UK to leave the EU.

Moreover, in the month of May, the press regulator establish that the Sun newspaper was found guilty of “significantly misleading” the public when the headline “Queen backs Brexit” concerning the Queen’s complain about Brussels to Nick Clegg.

The Queen is politically unbiased officially, though during the Scottish vote for independence, she intervened in 2014 when she suggested in a conversation with a member of the public, though she was aware such conversation may be published by journalists, saying she hoped the Scottish people would “think very carefully” before casting their votes.

Such conversation was a clear indication that Her Majesty wanted Scotland to remain in the UK.

Mr Lacey made his assertion concerning Her Majesty’s questioning dinner guests in a blog for the Daily Beast website.
