WAR IN BUHARI'S KITCHEN CABINENT

President Buhari

Buhari’s Chief Of Staff, Abba Kyari Moves To Remove EFCC Boss Magu.

Information reaching us reveals that all may not be well within the camp of the APC led federal government as the Chief of Staff to the President in collaboration with the Director General of the DSS and Nduka Obaigbena (newspaper publisher) have launched a full-scale war to unseat Ibrahim Magu, the EFCC chairman.

Thus, these cabals are perfecting plans to replace the current chairman with one of their loyalist who can act on their directives at any given time, as Magu seem to be too adamant to their dictates.

Presidential sources reveals that there has been a conflict of interest between The EFCC Chairman and these cabals in the Buhari government

This revelation came to the public domain when Saraha Reporters made known how the “Chief of Staff perverted an investigation which was made against a powerful indigenous oil company, Sahara Energy due to the accusation Kyari made against Magu of being the brain behind the exposure.

Moreover, the planned commencement of the Jide Omokore’s trial is also reported to be one of the major issue of contention with respect to a shady deal Jide struck with Diezane Alison-Madueke. This is as a result of the promise the Chief of Staff made to Mr. Omokore that the EFCC would be prevented from prosecuting him.

Sources revealed that Magu’s letter of nomination to the Senate for ratification was hindered by the Chief of Staff and the Attorney General of the Federation because of Magu’s “stubbornness.”

Furthermore, it was revealed my sources within the government that the EFCC Chairman keep stepping on their toes by frequently their reason for assuming the role of the Commission in carrying out invasions into the homes of previous government officials. Surprisingly, some of the monies recovered were never brought to the federal government, while some of those monies were found to be fake foreign currencies.

For instance, the raid carried out in the house of  Ngozi Olojeme’s son who was dismissed as Chair of NSITF after Buhari came into office revealed by the DSS that the sum of $500,000 was found, while only $50,000 was delivered to the treasury.

The tussle between the EFCC and the DSS grew to its peak when the DSS invaded the home of a member of the Arms Probe Committee, Air Commodore Umar Muhammed (rtd.) who allegedly had $1.5m hidden in the premises in Abuja from bribes supposedly received on behalf of other members of the panel. This report was made known in Thisday newspaper, owned by Nduka Obaigbena.

Familiar sources in government and law enforcement told SaharaReporters last night that Obaigbena was prevented from traveling to the United Kingdom last weekend by airport immigration officials who told him he was on the EFCC no-fly list.

The sources say Mr. Kyari, a former member of the Editorial Board of ThisDay, then intervened, following which Obaigbena was eventually allowed to travel the next day.  He is now in London.  Sources at the EFCC said that by securing Obaigbena’s travels, Mr. Kyari, and the DSS DG apparently obtained his cooperation to commence a media war on the chairperson of the agency.
