Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship for International Students at the Macquarie University, Australia

Scholarships


The Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship provides a partial tuition fee scholarship for outstanding students to study at Macquarie University North Ryde campus. It has been designed to recognise academic excellence and provide financial assistance for international students.


 The Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship is highly competitive and will be awarded progressively through the year to future applicants to Macquarie University based on academic merit.

Course of study:
Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes in priority areas: Engineering, Environment, Human Science, Media, Linguistics, and Education

Host Institution(s):
 Macquarie University North Ryde Campus in Australia

Nationality:
International students from a country other than ASEAN, a European country, Mongolia, Australia or New Zealand

Scholarship worth:
The scholarship amount is varied up to AUD$10,000  and will be applied towards your tuition fee.  It is not renewable.
The scholarships DO NOT provide financial support in the form of a living allowance, nor does it provide for the cost of visa application, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), airfares, accommodation, conferences or other costs associated with study.

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
• Have citizenship of a country other than ASEAN, a European country, Mongolia, Australia or New Zealand.
• Have met the University’s academic and English requirements for the course to be considered for a scholarship (must hold a full offer of admission for North Ryde by the application deadline).
• Have achieved a minimum GPA of 5.0 out of 7.0 for Postgraduate applications and minimum requirement of an ATAR equivalent of 90 out of 100 for Undergraduate applications.
• Have applied for a program that is longer than one Session in duration.
• Commence study in session and year indicated in the scholarship offer letter.
• Have applied for a course which has a full-time study load.
• Commence study in the semester and year indicated in their offer of Scholarship. Commencement may not be deferred.

Application instructions:
Applicants must complete an online course application form and an online scholarship application form. 
 A Macquarie University Student Number (which you will receive once your course application has been processed) is compulsory to submit the online scholarship application form.  The next application deadline is 30 June for Session 2 intake (July).

University of Art London Vice-Chancellor's Postgraduate International Scholarships

The Vice-Chancellor’s scholarships aim to fully support up to 8 students from low income countries and who have already applied to study a qualifying full-time masters degrees starting in 2017/2018.  
A scholarship provides a £25,000 award to cover tuition fee charges and make a contribution towards living costs. Scholarship recipients will also be offered International Student House (ISH) accommodation for the duration of their study.

Course of Study:
Full-time taught masters course at one of UAL’s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2017/18. Your course must offer either an M ARCH, MA, MFA, MRes or MSc qualification.   Read the List of Qualifying courses
Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert), Graduate Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma, M ARCH, MBA, distance learning, blended learning and online courses do not qualify.

Scholarship worth:

 You must have applied to study a full-time taught masters course at one of UAL’s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2017/18. Your course must offer either an M ARCH, MA, MFA, MRes or MSc qualification.

Criteria 2:
 You need to be ordinarily resident in one of the low to middle income economy countries detailed in our ‌List of Qualifying Countries (PDF)‌‌. G20 member countries have been excluded.Acceptance of the scholarship offer is on the condition that you will return to your home country on completion of your postgraduate Masters course.

Criteria 3:
 Your household income must be £55,000 or less (or the equivalent exchange value in a qualifying countries currency) at the point of scholarship application.

 You are willing to provide a response to each of the following statements as a part of your UAL Vice-Chancellor’s International Postgraduate Scholarship application:
  • • Describe your background, your academic experience and how receiving a Vice-Chancellor’s Postgraduate Scholarship would make a difference to you.
  • •  Tell us how you intend to use the qualification you will be gaining to support your future plans.
  • •  Confirm any other sources of funding you have (or have applied for) to meet the cost of your studies in the UK.

Application instructions:
Once you’ve applied for a qualifying course, the University will send you an email with details on how (if you meet the given eligibility criteria) you can apply for a UAL Vice-Chancellor’s International Postgraduate Scholarship award.
Your completed application form and supporting evidence must be submitted by 4pm BST on Wednesday, 31 May 2017.

 Westminster University is offering full 100% fee scholarships to prospective postgraduate applicants from different nationals.

The Denys Holland Scholarship

The Denys Holland Scholarship aims to support undergraduate students from any country, who without the support of the scholarship would be unable to secure the funding required to study at UCL, and who can demonstrate their intention to make full use of the activities offered by UCL and the Student Union.

Scholarship worth
The scholarship is worth £9,000 per year for three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress and scholars may choose to use all or part of the scholarship to cover fees. Any remainder is paid to the scholar as a maintenance stipend.

Eligibility:
Applicants should be:
 holding an offer of admission to UCL for full-time undergraduate study in any department;
• in financial hardship, and be able to demonstrate that without the scholarship they would be unable to study at UCL;
• preferably aged 25 or below at the time of commencing their studies;
• able to demonstrate that they have broad interests and intend to be actively involved in and contribute to the life of the university.

Scholarships for International Students at Khalifa University

Khalifa Scholarships


Applications are invited for Teaching assistance/ Associate Scholarship at Khalifa University UAE. This scholarship is to aid non -UAE qualified student to study a graduate program at Khalifa University.

Applicants must be a native speaker of English who have completed his/her undergraduate/graduate education in English medium institution in a country where English is the official language.
Course: 
Scholarships are awarded to study the subjects offered by the university.

Award:
·         Attractive monthly stipend: During MSc: AED 14,000 and PhD: AED 18,000
·         Full payment of all tuition fees
·         Support for attending conferences

Eligibility:
Master of Science (MSc) / Master of Arts (MA): Applicants for Master’s programs must earn Bachelor degree with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent (e.g. an upper second-class honours in UK-style degree) in a discipline relevant to the applicable program.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Engineering: PhD applicants must earn Master degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.25 out of 4.0, or equivalent (e.g. an upper second-class honors in UK-style Master by taught courses with a minimum average of 63% or a Pass in a Master by Research / M.Phil.) in a relevant discipline.

Prospective applicants should complete the online application form. The following required documents should be scanned in clear and legible form and attached to the online application form:
  • ·         Certificated copy of the applicant’s Bachelor/Master certificate (as applicable).
  • ·         Equivalency certificate issued by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education for applicants that have graduated from institutions outside the UAE.
  • ·         Official transcript showing the grading scale.
  • ·         English language proficiency score report (minimum 6.5 Academic IELTS or 91 IBT-TOEFL). Original score reports can be sent directly by your institution to the University. The Khalifa University institutional TOEFL code is 0960.

The University of Sheffield Southern Africa Student Scholarship Fund (SUSASSF)

University of Sheffield Scholarship


In partnership with SUSASSF, the Department of Geography is inviting applications for Southern Africa Student Scholarship Fund. The scholarship will be awarded to a student from Southern Africa to pursue postgraduate programme.

The programme is designed so that students experience development theory alongside development practice.

Course Subject:
 Scholarship is awarded to study on one of the following courses: MA International Development, MSc Environmental Change and International Development and MPH International Development.

Scholarship Award: 
The scholarship offers the following support:
·         A full tuition fee waiver
·         Maintenance for University accommodation and a monthly stipend

Eligibility:
·         You must have applied to study on one of the following courses to study at the University of Sheffield, starting in 2017: MA International Development, MSc Environmental Change and International Development and MPH International Development
·         You must be classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
·         You must be self-funded to receive this award, i.e. not funded by a research council, government, private enterprise, charity or any similar organisation.
·         This scholarship cannot be awarded in conjunction with any other funding awards, either from the University of Sheffield or external sources.
·         Your mode of attendance must be full time.
·         Receipt of the scholarship is subject to successfully meeting any condition(s) attached to your offer before the deadline provided by the Admissions Service.
·         Receipt of the scholarship is subject to successfully receiving a visa to study at the University in September 2017.
·         You must be a national of and permanently domiciled, in one of the following countries or territories: South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Lesotho, Botswana, Swaziland and Namibia
