Report reaching us has it that it took quite a while for the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan to make a public comment regarding Wednesday’s terror attack, after the general public and concerned citizens slammed him for his “deafening silence”.

The Mayor was seen in video declaring that "Londoners will never be cowed by terrorism."

The attack has so far brought about the untimely death of 4 persons, among whom was a policeman with so many persons seriously wounded at Westminster Bridge. Though one of the terrorist was also shot dead by armed officers.

He said: “Today London suffered a horrific attack near Parliament Square which we are treating as a terror attack.

“A number of people have lost their lives and at least twenty people have been injured.

“My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones and to everyone who has been affected.

“Tragically, a Metropolitan Police officer who was doing his duty protecting our city is amongst those who have been killed and my thoughts are with his family this evening.

“I want to express my gratitude, on behalf of all Londoners, to the police and emergency services who have shown tremendous bravery in exceptionally difficult circumstances.

“I have spoken to the Acting Commissioner Metropolitan Police Commissioner Craig Mackay and national lead for Counter-Terrorism Policing and Acting Deputy Commissioner Mark Rowley and remain in close contact with them.

“Londoners should be aware that there will be additional armed and unarmed police officers on our streets from tonight in order to keep Londoners, and all those visiting out city safe.

“I want to reassure all Londoners, and all our visitors, not to be alarmed. Our city remains one of the safest in the world.

“London is the greatest city in the world and we stand together in the face of those who seek to harm us and destroy our way of life.

“We always have and we always will. Londoners will never be cowed by terrorism.”

Prior to that, he was criticised for maintaining “deafening silence” after a short statement was made before Scotland Yard confirmed the barbaric attack.

Scotland Yard confirmed the deaths shortly before 6pm, but Mr Khan’s office remained silent until 7.30pm pointing to their earlier statement made hours earlier.

At 4.26pm Sadiq Khan issued a statement saying: "There has been a serious incident near to Parliament Square this afternoon which is being treated as a terrorist attack until the police know otherwise.

“I have spoken to the Acting Commissioner. The Metropolitan Police Service is dealing with the incident and an urgent investigation is underway. My thoughts are with those affected and their families.

“I would like to express my thanks to the police and emergency services who work so hard to keep us safe and show tremendous bravery in exceptionally difficult circumstances."

But shocked Londoners used Twitter to ask why their Mayor had not responded to the attack earlier.

@cat_leslee said: “The silence of @SadiqKhan is deafening. No comment Mr Mayor!”

Katie Hopkins said: “Sadiq Kahn't. If you are penning some naff missive about a proud city, standing together, united by shared values, think again son.”

A father who was supposed to be a strong pillar and defence to his daughter and the entire family has allegedly beaten his daughter to death just a day after social workers and health visitors downgraded their activities with the family.

Florence Liberty Mae Higham’s parents were known to social services however were visited by officials and told that they were going to decrease their association with them as a result of “decreased level of concern”.

Nevertheless the day after the officials visited, 16-days old Florence, was cruelly assaulted by her father Matthew Higham, with the tot suffering extensive injuries that included multiple skull and rib fractures, facial injuries and brain damage.

According to investigation in Stockport, it was heard that her abusive father, who is now serving life for murder, had already had another child removed from his care due to his drug and alcohol abuse and chastising.

It emerged Higham had earlier collected Florence from her grandparents’ house and taken her back to his home but a few hours later he dialled 999 saying the baby was “bleeding out of her nose, mouth and ears” after she started fitting as he was feeding her milk from a bottle.

When medical team got to the scene, they noticed she had multiple injuries, which also includes bruising to her head, with the tot dying at Stepping Hill Hospital despite attempts to revive her.

In an attempt to evade arrest, Mr Higham, made efforts to wash off the bloodied home prior to the arrival of the Police and Emergency Services.

Miss Collins, who had previously split from Higham due to violence in the relationship, said that the man had favoured the couple’s first child.

The mum, from Shaw Heath, Stockport, Greater Manchester, said: “With the first child, he was very good, he had safe hands but with Florence he didn’t feed her, her bottle and didn’t go near her because if he did my first child would scream the house down.

“He made a comment about him favouring the first child over Florence. I was obviously quite shocked – but I was assured that was all completely normal.”

Higham had initially denied killing his “perfect baby” but admitted murder while at Preston Crown Court in January 2016.

He now says he can’t remember carrying out the fatal attack.

At his trial the judge Mr Justice Tim Kerr said that the “evil done” by Higham in the “brutal and frenzied attack” was greater than in other cases he had considered and added: “You battered her to death, her injuries were horrifying.

“It was a crime of such unspeakable violence it is difficult to understand how any human being could do such a thing. You say you do not remember doing it. Whether or not that is true, by your plea of guilty to the murder of your baby daughter you have accepted, very late, that you inflicted those injuries on her with the intention of killing her or doing her really serious harm.”

Wicked in high places as a 30-year-old cruel mum cut the leg of her two-year-old son with a meat cleaver while engaging her mum-in-law (the boy’s granny) in serious argument.

The incident occoured in Guyuan City, in north-western China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

When the incident was reported to the authority, upon their arrival, they broke through the family sitting room to enable them gain access, as all doors were locked. Got the woman arrested, while the little boy was quickly rushed to the hospital, as he found unconscious from excessive bleeding.

A policeman was also seen running from the crime scene while carrying a plastic bag reportedly containing the boy's severed limb, which was given to paramedics.

It is not clear as at press time, if the boy's grandmother was also injured amid the dispute.

Luckily to the boy, doctors at the facility were able to successfully reattach his right leg and he is now under 72-hour observation in the Intensive Care Unit.

However, medics noted that the limb had suffered muscle death because of extreme blood loss, but the long-term effects of the unnamed boy's injury are still unclear.

Reports citing local residents suggested that the mum had a mental episode at the time of the attack, but the authorities have not confirmed whether the suspect suffers from any psychological illness.

Coward, from Canada, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder of her daughter Amber Lucius in a Calgary courtroom last month.

According to Justice Scott Brooker who handed the sentence to Coward on Friday the killing was random, senseless and the ultimate betrayal.

Amber was reported missing in August 2014 and her mother was arrested two days later in Alberta.

Coward had given the girl a toxic but non-lethal dose of a prescription sleeping medication, but thought she was dead and put Amber in the truck and set it on fire.

Coward begged the girl’s father and her own family and friends to forgive her at her sentencing hearing last week.

Weird as a 25-year-old Robert Roy Farmer who s3xully assaulted and killed 21 cats might be made to register as sex offender.

The man was arrested in October 2015 while he was sleeping in his car alongside a dead orange tabby cat in California.

It was reported by Animal Care and Services that after investigations, it was discovered that the cat had enlarged genitals and the DNA of Farmer was found under the cat’s claws.

The 25-year-old later pleaded guilty to 21 counts of felony animal cruelty – one for each of the cats – and one count of misdemeanour battery.

One of his victim’s owners, Miriam Petrova spoke with NBC last year, where she said they never recovered their cat, called Go-Go, who was the first cat that was killed.

Farmer could be facing up to 16 years in prison and has been in custody at the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas since his arrest.

Local campaigners, Justice for our CATZ, have been petitioning the judge for life imprisonment when he is brought back to court on April 7.

19-year-old white teenager known as John R.K. Howard, accused of raping his mentally disabled black fellow student with help of a coat hanger has been saved from jail term.

The teenager was initially charged with forceful s3xual penetration using a foreign object, was to be sentenced to life imprisonment if found guilty and convicted in an Idaho court.

Hitherto subsequent to an agreement reached between the defence counsel and the State Attorney General’s office, the attack was found not to be racially stirred and didn’t constitute a sex crime, therefore the rape charge was dropped and replaced by the lesser charge of injury to a child in December.

Howard was finally sentenced on Friday to three years’ probation and 300 hours of community service for the attack in October 2015.

The victim, who was 17 at the time of the attack, had just finished football practice and was in Dietrich High School’s locker room, when one of his ‘friends’ called him over.

According to a record acquired by the Guardian, the victim described the assault and said: ‘He told me to give him a hug. He had his hands out like he was going to give me a hug. And I gave him a hug, and he signaled for one of my other friends to come over.’

The victim hen described how Howard and two others then went on to rape him.

When asked how he felt during the attack, he said: ‘Pain that I have never felt took over my body. I screamed, but afterwards, I kept it to myself.’

The said attack has been making the victim to commit suicide multiple times, according to court documents.

When sentencing Howard, Judge Randy Stoker agreed to accept an Alford plea, which allows a defendant to maintain their innocence while admitting there is sufficient evidence for a jury to return a guilty verdict.

His sentence has since sparked outcry among the public who have drawn comparisons to the Brock Turner case, in which a former Stanford University student was found guilty of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman but only served three months in jail.

Accordingly, petition has been launched to remove Mr Stoke from the bench and has already attracted nearly 150,000 signatures.

The victim’s family say the attack took place after months of racist abuse by the white football players.

In a lawsuit filed against the school, they claim the victim was ‘taunted and called racist names by other members of the team which names included “Kool-Aid” “chicken eater” “watermelon” and [the N-word]’.

His attackers also reportedly taught the victim a song, which he didn’t understand, that went: ‘Moon man, moon man, can’t you see. Spics and n****** need to hang from trees.’

Also, during the trial, football coaches tried to persuade the victim to change his story while recording the conversation.
