Revenge attack puts a toddler and parents in a life threatening situation after being poured acid

A two-year-old child whose father was targeted by some people suffers acid attack, after his parents were hit by the assailants with the ‘noxious substance’ last Saturday’s afternoon.

The incident which happened in Islington has also put the baby’s father under a ‘potentially life-changing injuries’ when they were struck at around 1.05pm.

According to eye witnesses they saw a man running from the scene where the father-of-two sons was laid on the floor.

Also, a lady who declined to disclose her identity said they used to live on the Barnsbury Estate, close to where it happened. The lady also stated that, the incident may be a revenge attack against the baby’s father.


Shop owner Murat Kayran, 43, said: ‘They were a Chinese family, a woman frantically ran in here when it happened and said ‘there’s been an acid attack’

‘She bought one bottle at first and then after that bought three more bottles of 1.5l water to pour on the man’s burns after a person threw acid in his face.

‘Then a gentleman came in and bought another three. About five minutes later and ambulance and police cars turned up, as well as the fire brigade.

‘It’s such a scary thing to happen.’


The victims were walking down the street with their toddler in the pushchair prior to the attack.
