Amazing how just 2 votes made Pogba to narrowly missed an opportunity to become FIFA’s best XI

Pogba

Paul Pogba of Manchester United, just passed up a major opportunity for a place in the FIFPro World XI by just two votes.

This came when world football governing body FIFA revealed the top 11 players in every position from 2016, at their best award ceremony last Monday, with no premier league player able to make the group, which had up to 9 players in Real Madrid and Barcelona

Though Pogba was reported to have verged on joining Luka Modric and Andres Iniesta in the top midfield three, which in turn passed up a major opportunity to Toni Kroos by just two votes

Pogba verged on joining Luka Modric and Andres Iniesta in the top pick midfield three, passing up the littlest edge for a player not being chosen ever.

FIFA stated: “The closest call was the third midfield position, with Kroos narrowly beating Pogba by two votes. “It is the smallest margin ever in the 12-year World XI history to decide on inclusion in the World XI.”
