DELTA STATE: Panic as cobra bites a man to death in Bomadi

Recall that some weeks ago several warnings were being issued by some concerned Nigerians, advising people to be very careful during the dry season, as snakes are already coming out in their numbers to look for cooler places to have their rest, which oftentimes makes them to share homes with people.

Accordingly, there was a serious horror in Bomadi, Delta State as the mission of a moderately aged man recognized as Francis Kanyare-ere to appreciate the harmattan breeze has prompted to his terrible end after he was assaulted and nibbled by a cobra.

Kanyare-ere who hailed from Torugbene village in Burutu Local Government Area of the state, was said to have been assaulted by the snake at around 8am on Monday before his home inverse the GRA of Bomadi town.

According to sources, the man was unwinding and getting a charge out of the night harmattan breeze when the snake showed up from no place and struck before crawling into his lounge.

Furthermore, source from the community said the snake was later found and slaughtered by individuals from the casualty's family and neighbors who promptly hurried into the house after they were cautioned by his horrifying shout.

The source said the neighbours later used African traditional anti-venom substance on the casualty and was later taken to a traditional healing facility in the area for medicinal consideration as his circumstance compounded.


As indicated by the source, a therapeutic staff that analyzed the casualty said the clinic does not have cure to the venom, and that he was being taken to a customary medicinal focus in the area in the early hours of Tuesday when he finally gave.
