A marketing intern should have:

Responsibilities
o Assist in the preparation, distribution or delivery of marketing materials
o Assist with fulfilment of marketing offers
o Assist with execution of trade shows
o Perform analysis of marketing and sales data
o Seek and analyse competitor marketing and sales materials both on and offline
o Prepare presentations
o Open and sort mail
o Enter contact information into contact management systems
o Provide support to social media efforts
o Maintain tracking report of public relations activity
o Update and maintain social media presence
o Assist in planning, writing and managing monthly newsletter
o Draft, distribute and pitch news releases, media alerts and other stories
o Designing flyers, graphics, e-vites and other marketing material for events hosted
o Update the organisation's website when needed
o Organise and attend monthly marketing committee meeting including preparing agenda and taking minutes
o Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications
