ERA OF DEFECTION: Over 6,000 APC members decamp to give their support to PDP governorship candidate in Ondo State

APC members decamp in Ondo State

As the governorship election in Ondo state billed to hold November 26 draws closer, at least 6,000 members of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) have pitched their tent with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.

The group of defectors were headed by an APC chieftain identified as Adebowale Olowoeye aka Olumose and Bidemi Oladapo as they formally pledge their unalloyed loyalty to the PDP.

Olumose in a press briefing said the decision to decamp from the APC to the PDP was because the “Eyitayo Jegede’s wind blowing across the state is too real to be ignored.”

During the event that occurred at the famous Depot, Broad Street, the defectors were seen making their allegiance one after the other in support for the governorship candidate of the PDP. As it came almost immediately the National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Oyegun installed the party’s campaign team for the governorship elections in the state.
