As a result of the blunder made by Nigerian President
Muhammadu Buhari, saying that his wife Aisha “belongs to his Kitchen,” Femi
Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation has come out to say that the President
needs special deliverance prayers because “demons are speaking through him.”
Ever since the first family went public to wash their dirty
linen, there has been different opinions from various quarters condemning the
president for such a statement in this 21st century.
Be that as it may, the special aid to the president on
media, Shehu Garba, has said that people are misunderstanding the president’s
statement as it was only a ‘joke’.
On the other hand, former President Jonathan’s Director of
Media and Publicity has asserted that President Buhari’s statement is one of
the “spiritual dimension of living in the villa.”
Fani-Kayode, who made the call for the special deliverance
prayers stated that, “When the President can get up and tell the whole world
all the way from distant Germany that his wife ‘belongs to the kitchen and
other room’ simply because she dared to speak her mind to the BBC, then you
know that he is in the grip of something evil and that demons are speaking
through him.
“It is all part of the spiritual dimension of living in the
villa that Abati was referring to in his latest essay.”
Earlier on, a former Special Adviser to ex-President
Goodluck Jonathan, Reuben Abati, had last week described Nigeria’s seat of
power, Aso Rock, as an evil place .
Fani-Kayode also included that, “The President’s mind has
become twisted and he is now possessed by strange and powerful entities. Any
man that can say such a thing about his own wife can kill his own children. He
needs a lot of prayers.”
