Amber Rudd's suggestion to exclude non-EU students from immigration crackdown rejected my Theresa May

All attempts made by the Home Secretary, Amber Rudd in trying to convince the British Prime Minister, Theresa May to exclude international students from her party’s plan to bring to the barest minimum yearly net migration to the tens of thousands.

Ms Rudd is said to have brought up the issue in early talks with Mrs. May concerning her brief amid the summer. However, the PM overruled Rudd’s plea and requested a new crackdown as part of a broader effort in order to reduce non-EU migration.
