The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, on Sunday cautioned members of his church against bringing tribalism into the RCCG, particularly concerning unions to stop from such.
Adeboye cautioned that any individual who brings ethnicity
into the fabrics of the mission will bite the dust a sudden and unexpected
death.
He gave this notice toward the end of Ministers' Conference
of the congregation, expressing that already he had begged genuinely to God concerning
the matter.
These are the excerpts of his statements, “Whosoever tries
to pollute the fast-growing denomination through the canker worm of ethnicity
will die before his or her day.
“Tell all your friends that I’ve prayed a prayer that
anyone, whoever, tries to introduce tribalism into RCCG shall die.
“Like Ananias and Sapphira died suddenly and prematurely,
anyone including the G.O himself, who tries to introduce tribalism will die
suddenly and prematurely.
“The Governing Council asked me to caution ministers of the
mission to avoid the error of match-making brothers and sisters for marriage.
This could result in some adverse effects.
