The government have said that the Eiffel Tower will be lit
France’s national colours from Friday as a mark of tribute to the victims of
the Nice truck attack.
According to a report, Anne Hidalgo, (The mayor of Paris)
will tonight light the Tower in red, white and blue till the end of the
three-day national mourning.
Also, the French Prime Minister Manuel Valls has ordered
that flags should be flown at half-mast from today (Friday), and three days of
national mourning will commence on Saturday.
The state of emergency which was declared since 13 November
as a result of the terror attacks on Paris may also be extended.
The lower legislative house of the National Assembly also
said that it will be lit in the national colours of the country.
According to report, not less than 84 people were killed,
and scores were critically injured, when the terrorist ploughed through merrymakers
on the seafront in the Cote d’Azur of Nice, while watching a Bastille Day
fireworks.
