Revealed, how motorists could be fined for paving way for emergency ambulance

How surprising it is for one to find him/herself found wanting for trying to pave the way for an emergency.

Rule 219 says: ”You should look and listen for ambulances, fire engines, police, doctors or other emergency vehicles using flashing blue, red or green lights and sirens, or flashing headlights, or traffic officer and incident support vehicles using flashing amber lights."

“When one approaches do not panic. Consider the route of such a vehicle and take appropriate action to let it pass, while complying with all traffic signs.

“If necessary, pull to the side of the road and stop, but try to avoid stopping before the brow of a hill, a bend or narrow section of road.

“Do not endanger yourself, other road users or pedestrians and avoid mounting the kerb.

“Do not brake harshly on approach to a junction or roundabout, as a following vehicle may not have the same view as you.”

The traffic rule also instructs motorists not to ignore street signs and pay attention to road around them.

Entering a bus lane or running a red light to get out of the way of an ambulance or emergency service vehicle could land you a fee.

This has been confirmed by Blue Light Aware, the public could be fined if they use the wrong way to let 999 vehicles pass. Stating that drivers of police cars, fire engines, and ambulances have been trained to avoid situations that could lead to such occuring.

Its website said: “That’s why, on most occasions, an emergency vehicle needing to make progress across a traffic light junction would not put itself behind another vehicle in the traffic light queue, but would, where the road layout and traffic conditions permit, move out to present itself and its intention to cross the junction.

“Of course, there will be times when there simply is no room for an emergency service vehicle to get past, or perhaps its crew are activated by their control room to respond to an emergency while they are waiting with everyone else at the traffic lights.

“On these occasions, they know that other motorists are not allowed to ‘jump’ the red light, and the emergency vehicle would ideally not activate its sirens and lights until it was safe for the vehicle in front to cross the solid white line at the junction.

“On the (hopefully) rare occasions that a blue light vehicle, in ’emergency mode’, is sitting behind another vehicle at a red traffic light, it’s important to appreciate that it would be both very dangerous and illegal for the other vehicle to move across the solid white line.

“The exception to this is that a uniformed police officer can direct a motorist through a red traffic signal.”

Illegal immigrant with various criminal records compensated with tax payer’s £27,000 for staying too long in prison

Illegal immigrant

How amazing it is being awarded a £27,000 compensation after serving a prison term for too long, despite the crime being committed.

Here was the case of an illegal immigrant sentenced to jail for attempted rape. After being out of prison, the government gave him the sum of £27,000 in order to compensate him for keeping him too long in jail.

Upon his illegal arrival into the United Kingdom in 2005, Bashdar Abdulla Qarani started repeating various criminal offences, which includes: battery, theft and carrying a knife.

Surprisingly he was allowed to stay in the country to enjoy tax payers’ money and was jailed for four years in 2012 for attempted rape in South Wales.

The Kurd, who had no official ID papers, spent two years in prison before he was allowed out on licence but was locked up again to prevent him from disappearing.

Because the authorities could not prove his nationality they were not able to send him to his native country.

Deputy High Court Judge Mr Justice Mott acknowledged that the sex offender had a history of absconding, but ruled that he had been unlawfully detained for 11 months prior to his release last December.

Acid

A two-year-old child whose father was targeted by some people suffers acid attack, after his parents were hit by the assailants with the ‘noxious substance’ last Saturday’s afternoon.

The incident which happened in Islington has also put the baby’s father under a ‘potentially life-changing injuries’ when they were struck at around 1.05pm.

According to eye witnesses they saw a man running from the scene where the father-of-two sons was laid on the floor.

Also, a lady who declined to disclose her identity said they used to live on the Barnsbury Estate, close to where it happened. The lady also stated that, the incident may be a revenge attack against the baby’s father.

Shop owner Murat Kayran, 43, said: ‘They were a Chinese family, a woman frantically ran in here when it happened and said ‘there’s been an acid attack’

‘She bought one bottle at first and then after that bought three more bottles of 1.5l water to pour on the man’s burns after a person threw acid in his face.

‘Then a gentleman came in and bought another three. About five minutes later and ambulance and police cars turned up, as well as the fire brigade.

‘It’s such a scary thing to happen.’

The victims were walking down the street with their toddler in the pushchair prior to the attack.

Over 400 terrorists alleged to have entered into the UK calls for a rigorous immigration check from certain countries

Jihadist

With the intelligent report emanating from a security expert concerning the returning of terrorists into the United Kingdom, one may say that it is high time the Home Office and other relevant border agencies garner more efforts to ensure that irrespective of status, any one coming those known terror breeding nations be put under rigorous scrutiny similar to the Trump model in order to safeguard lives and properties of every British citizens and residents going about their lawful daily activities.

This is because, the government must not wait until lives and properties are destroyed before taking punitive measures, with the alleged influx of battle-hardened fighters coming back from Mosul and Syria who are now issuing out terror threats against the country.

According to Sky News over 400 ex-fighters have been able find their ways into British soul. A figure which is significant enough to cause havoc similar to what had happened in other EU countries in recently.

It has also been stated by former Scotland Yard Specialist Fire Officer and author Tony Long that: "These are combat-hardened soldiers. They might not be trained in the way that NATO might train their soldiers but they've seen more close quarter conflict and more urban fighting than probably most members of the British Armed Forces and you have to respect that.

"Of course they're bringing that knowledge back with them to the UK and it's very, very difficult because of the legal restrictions that are put on the security services and the police to actually monitor all of these people."

With the look of things, it appears most of these terrorists are hiding behind some of the loopholes in the law, knowing very well that, sometimes even if they are finally convinced, they will always come back into the society and continue with their lives.

Take for instance, one Imran Khawaja, 29, from west London, who is presently serving 12 years in prison after he faked his own death in Syria in an attempt to sneak back into the UK undetected.

Khawaja who joined a militant group with links to so-called Islamic State while overseas, was also seen posing with a severed head in a picture.

He was arrested as he tried to re-enter the UK through the port of Dover and later admitted preparing for acts of terrorism, attending a camp, receiving training and possessing firearms.

Security expert Professor Tahir Abbas from the Royal United Services Institute said: "The police and security services are certainly preparing for all eventualities, because in Britain, we've had our lessons from the past.

"These returning fighters pose a number of threats in relation to security here.

"They've been through a lot of very traumatic conflict and engagement, often involved in street-to-street fighting.

"Now, having made their way back to Britain, they pose a particular threat because of their capacity - and perhaps they've been instructed to return, hold fire and wait for the go ahead to launch attacks.

"They are likely to be traumatised, but also extremely experienced and well trained individuals who pose a serious risk."
